Introducing the theramin and synth bass: here is a clip from the latest mix of “Falling for You”.
Adam has come to the realization that when this song is played, his dog does strange things (there’s a chance we’ll have a video of that up soon). We like to think our music is universally stimulating not unlike the Mozart Effect on infants. If we’re lucky and everything goes as planned, 200 years from now, robot parents will make their robot babies and robot dogs listen to Big-Hearted Robot.
If anyone’s been wondering what we’re up to, we’ve spent the last few weeks trying to fit in a kazoo solo for each song. Unfortunately, at this point, Might Love if You Stay looks like the only one suitable for such an elegant instrument. But don’t worry, we’ll keep trying and get back to you guys!
From the much more finished, but not yet so, intro track, Set Fire to Your Heart. All it needs is a kazoo solo or two.

We made a ton of progress over the break, and everything’s demoed out at this point. Next step is going back and rerecording all the scratch tracks, then figuring out how who we can get to mix/master it. I listened to it over and over on my way back to Ann Arbor, and right now I’m thinking it’s going to be killer. Tomorrow I’ll probably hate it, continuing the cycle, but right now I’m pumped. Obviously our most highest goal is getting onto your top ten list for 2012.
